Lectade Oral Rehydration Therapy

Lectade Oral Rehydration Therapy is a water-soluble supportive treatment for dehydration and scours caused by viral, bacterial or nutritional reasons in dogs, cats, pigs, calves. foals and lambs. It is a balanced blend of glucose, glycine and electrolytes without any antibiotic properties. The intestinal tract actively absorbs glucose and glycine, causing water and sodium to be absorbed alongside these nutrients resulting in quick rehydration while maintaining the electrolyte balance.

  • Mix the contents of Lectade sachet section A and section B in 2 liters of hot water and stir until dissolved. Administer the suitable amount of Lectade preparation. Store the remaining of the concentration to a cool place and make fresh Lactade solution on a new day.
  • To make 500 ml of Lectade solution, use 5 ml medicine spoon. Mix 1 level spoonful sachet from Section A and 3 heaped spoonful from section B in 500 ml of hot water and stir until it is dissolved.
  • When preparing Lectade solution, section A and B must always be used together.
  • For a specified disease control (antibiotic therapy), it can be given in addition to Lectade.
